The most phenomenal thing in the greek islands
was so simple…
the horizon line dividing the blue of the sky
and the blue of the water;
such a spiritual visual experience…

too simple for a painting idea,
but deeply etched in the back of my brain forever.

The pretty village of Lefkes on the island of Paros.

This was painted on the island of Paros, but it could be many places in Greece. It’s always amazing to find plants and flowers growing out of seemingly inhospitable places. Even here.

Your very own view to the sea, two chairs waiting, on Paros island.

The main harbor village of Parikia on the Greek island of Paros.

A wonderful combination of stairs leading to different passages and levels.

One of the narrow lanes of Parikia on the Greek island of Paros.

In the maze of streets in Parikia on the Greek island of Paros.

Wandering around Paros, on a very hot day, I came across the backs of these two churches. The shadows were just right for a wonderful sculptural effect.

A beach on the island of Paros. A perfect place to sit and paint, and then have lunch.
